The National Gallery in Prague
The National Gallery in Prague (Národní Galerie v Praze) celebrated on 5 February 2006 its 210th anniversary. Since its beginning until today it has never ceased to represent the Czech artistic spirit and to to elevate the nation’s spirit through works of art. This ideal is considered the mission of the National Gallery even today.
Tips for visitors:
National Gallery exhibitions are open every day (except Mondays) from 10 am. – 6 pm. The last tour of permanent and short term exhibits is at 5.30 pm.
Children under 6 enter free. Children between 6-15, students, seniors over 60 have discounts. Admision to individual exhibitions of the national gallery is set separately.
Free admission day:
Free admission for everyone on every first Wednesday of the month, between 3pm and 8pm. Valid for permanent and short-term exhibitions.
